Visualisation Imagery
D2 Rail possesses a keen interest in the delivery of visualisation within the rail industry. Visualisation Imagery today provides a vital role in bridging the link between design information and a product the everyday individual can relate to. Our team has vast experience in the delivery of imagery, inclusive of client supplied designs, photomontages, and concept models.
The use of Imagery now has a multitude of purposes within the industry. Tender bid support has always been one of the main focal points of Imagery, providing the client with valuable material to present in stakeholder engagements. Health and Safety is now an integral way of working with the Visualisation Imagery produced, supporting team briefings and toolbox talks. Visualisation has the ability to remove previously heavy worded documentation, which struggled to portray the importance of a situation. We have found that public consultation material can utilise visual Imagery very effectively within a project. At D2 Rail, we pride ourselves on the ability to support the client with material and provide the public with a visual insight into project proposals.
Bespoke Software Solutions
Many industries devote a large amount of time to manual tasks that are better suited for automation by computers. At D2, we believe in the value of exploring how we can remove the manual, time consuming task that in turn allows the user to focus on the other important things.
Our team has strong experience in both web and desktop software development as well as data analysis. By assessing your needs and requirements, D2 can help in all aspects of a project from discovery, guidance, direction to a full bespoke system.
Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality has hit mainstream consumption during recent years and we at D2 Rail understand the potential benefits it provides. By creating an immersive environment, our clients are provided with the ability to navigate their projects, with a sensation of being within the project environment.
Alongside the benefits provided to design proposals, Virtual Reality can also aid in the delivery of Health and Safety talks. By providing visual feedback, a user can gain a better understanding of the potential risks and hazards, they may incur on a project. Furthermore, when delivering proposals to the general public, the use of modern technology will provide confidence to the consumer that the project is being undertaken with advanced practices.
Induction Training Programs
Health and safety are one of the most important aspects of the rail industry. Using the latest technologies in video game design our team can deliver various remote training programs for any scenario in a gamified format.
By modelling a real-world environments and setting objectives for the user to complete, out training and induction programs allow users to become familiar with both the site and equipment before even getting to site. By creating an interactive and score-based system to keep the users attention, these programs provide an extra layer of health and safety assurance.
Animation & Construction Sequences
Animation has been an essential part of the rail industry for many years, previously bringing the imagery provided to life. With the increasing awareness of 4D capabilities, construction sequencing holds a strong value in today’s industry. Utilising the strengths of D2 Rail’s Planning and Visualisation team, we possess the ability to combine a detailed design model with a planning schedule. The output of this, is a dynamic 4D construction sequence, with both model data and planning changes, updating simultaneously.
Alongside true 4D, we are able to provide a variety of Animations that can raise the profile of a project. These can vary from fly through animations, to informative guides of a project, creating more engaging media & moving away from the conventional PowerPoint style presentations.
Consents
The use of visual media is key to the support of consents submissions. Utilising visual aids such as Still Imagery and Animation, and by creating Virtual Reality Environments, D2 Rail are able to dynamically support these submissions. D2 Rail combine photo imagery and digital renders to create Photomontages. These photomontages form a composite snapshot of both the proposed and the real world. Animations can also be used in a variety of ways, such as Construction Sequences, Fly Through’s and for Pedestrian/Traffic flow, in order to support a submission. The ability to optimise Virtual Reality (VR) Environments is proving an essential tool in today’s climate. With VR becoming more popular, facilitating the use of this Hardware in submissions engages at both a client and stakeholder level. D2 Rail are looking to lead the way in innovative visual technology by tailoring to each customers’ need in the support of consents submissions.
