Our project engineers specialise in the delivery of complex multi-disciplinary railway projects. Our role is to support and/or lead integrated engineering teams, bridging the gap between clients, key stakeholders and the supply chain. We provide bespoke support for every stage of the engineering lifecycle enabling risks to be minimised whilst maximising successful project outcomes.

We are looking for experienced Designated Project Engineers / Senior Project Engineers / Project Engineers who have or can demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and experience of undertaking project engineering roles on multi £million rail renewal and enhancement projects and/or programmes, across all stages of the project lifecycle, and in accordance with governance requirements
  • Strong technical leadership of teams in the delivery of assurance of projects, focusing on delivering the right outcome for the client
  • Experience of working within governance processes for project delivery (i.e. PACE) and the engineering expectations of each stage of the lifecycle.
  • Ability to initiate and build positive working relationships with customers, their teams, and partners, through excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience in applying CDM / CSM / TSI safety regulations and standards
  • Champion and disseminate best practice, organisational learning and new technology, to achieve project objectives in terms of safety, cost and performance.
  • Willing to challenge self and others to improve outcomes
  • Experience of working within Client / Supply Chain / Alliancing environments
  • Technical qualifications to at least HNC level or equivalent in relevant engineering field.
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution working towards IEng, CEng (e.g. IET, ICE, IMechE).

Additionally, for our DPE roles

  • Ability to direct and support relevant project engineers throughout the engineering lifecycle, including the resolution of technical issues, and representing the project interests with relevant external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of systems interfaces which impact on discipline designs and demonstrable experience of the successful management of interfaces within projects
